What is the best vacation rentals website (house)?

I am looking for a vacation rental in the New England area and I want to know the best vacation rental website (a.k.a. has the most selection). Thanks!

    This is a vacation rental by owner site, so the experience tends to be much more personal and the rates can be extremely reasonable. There are houses registered all over the world.

    I’m familiar with two mainstream sites, and a couple smaller one-off rental sites (direct from the owners, one listing). Check http://www.vrbo.com and http://www.airbedandbreakfast.com

  3. craigslist. Or if you know the town your looking at has a website check there, places like Bar Harbor list online sometimes.
