travel/backpack through canada?

i wan’t to travel/backpack through canada, but i currently earn $233 a fortnight and can’t save much.

is there any camps i could work at or volunteer anywhere that would get me there and possibly help me with accomodation?

  2. When you fly in to Canada, one of the questions you’ll be asked at Customs and Immigration is how much money you’ve got. If you can’t fund your entire trip, they could turn you away, I’m sorry to say. They don’t want people coming in to Canada without permission to work. If you get a work visa, that’s a different story, and you might be able to find work but it would be very difficult.

  3. I agree with the poster above said about Immigration grilling you. Chances are they’d put you on the next plane out.

    Not only that, but if you plan on backpacking across Canada, I’d wait until next spring and not do it in the Oct-April window. Winter here is brutal.
