I am going on a Thailand traveling holiday from 15th July – 6th August, and would just like to know if anyone recommends any good travel insurance as I don’t know who to go with?? I cannot book under backpackers insurance as am not away for enough days! Any help would be appreciated

I took a position as a volunteer in Ireland and I’ll be required to have proof of insurance upon entry in the country. I’ve been looking at Travel Insurance websites and the majority of them are for shorter periods of time. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I’m going to Africa over break for a week. Someone told me I *need* travel insurance. I’ve never had it before when traveling, since I never get sick etc. Do I actually need to get it for South Africa? And about how much would it cost for a week?

We’re planning a trip to Italy in one month and expedited services says they will complete the passport in two weeks. I’ve heard many stories that it takes much longer than that.

I bought a British Airways return airline ticket from London to Chicago (USA) and travelled this month – december 2007. Unfortunately I lost my wallet in a taxi. Am I covered by travel insurance just by purchasing the ticket with my MasterCard?

I would like to start my own travel insurance company to help people with pre-existing medical conditions, how do I do it then!? How do I go about setting it up? In the UK? How much capital will I need? Is it impossible? How did the other big guys start up? aaaggghh

For several months my husband and I have been trying to get travel medical insurance for him for travelling to America. He is fit and healthy but the problem is he had a heart bypass operation 3 years ago and insurance companies either want to charge him massive premiums or won’t cover him at all.
