What is a standard traveler’s backpack? What luggage do you recommend for traveling around Poland? I’m traveling through Poland for 5 weeks and I need to be able to carry my own luggage. I’m bringing a North Face backpack as a day pack, but what kind of big backpack or luggage do you recommend?

I’ve never seen a backpack come tumbling down through the baggage claim area, so I’m a bit apprehensive. Also, are there any of these types of requirements for traveling by train (specifically in Europe?) or are they are little more relaxed with that mode of transportation?
