Our number one airline travel tip is: Check in early!

Airlines require domestic travelers to check-in 1 hour prior to departure. International flights require a 2 hour check-in. If you do not arrive on time and if the flights are overbooked, the possibility exists that your seat will be given away. In addition, there will be a greater opportunity when you arrive early to have your name on the “top of the list” for an upgrade.

Be aware that some airlines have restricted carry on luggage policies. For example:

Northwest – Maximum check-in is two and carryon luggage is limited to one piece plus a purse/briefcase/laptop computer for all flights. First class international is allowed two carry on items.

American/TWA – Check one and carryon two or check two and carryon one.

Delta – Check one and carry-on two or check two and carry-on one.

Southwest – Check up to three and carryon two.

United – One carryon in economy and two in business/first class.

USAir – Carryon two

Continental – Carryon two

Store your carryon luggage in the compartment across from you so you can keep an eye on it.

Be sure to carry photo identification.

Be aware of Safe Harbors emergency service telephone number (International / domestic) This will help you with questions concerning your ticket or itinerary changes. The number is printed on all itineraries. Calling the airline directly can cause confusion and be costly.

Never make enemies or be abrasive with airline ticket agents or gate agents. Regardless of the situation, most people are more than accommodating when approached with respect.

Travel Reservations

Do not make a reservation with an airline directly. They will not have all of your company data accessible including your discounted rates, frequent flier numbers, travel preferences, travel policy information and payment procedures. They will only give you their information not competing information where the agency will.

When a travel reservation is made with Safe Harbors, your confirmation number for your flight, hotel room and car is your guarantee! If you arrive at any of these counters and they claim that you do not have a reservation, chance has it that they are trying to sell you a higher priced car, hotel room and airline reservation. This is a common practice for these vendors to recreate a reservation so that a commission will not have to be paid and that last minute availability is achieved, resulting in a higher fare/rate. If this should happen, be assertive and demand the guaranteed rate/fare is utilized on the confirmed itinerary from Safe Harbors.

Introduction of an airline credit card proved to be an amazing discovery and a boon for frequent travelers. Airline credit cards were aimed at fulfilling the needs of the travelers and thereby encouraging the consumer to spend. Constant and collaborative efforts of credit companies and various airline companies led to the creation of an airline credit card.

Airline miles credit cards is another innovation which allows frequent fliers to count each mile. These cards work on the same lines as normal credit cards, but differ only in the variety of services they offer and of course their ability of buying an air ticket. Both the cards follow similar procedures for fees and transactions.

Types of Airline Credit Cards

Gold, Platinum Cards are the various forms of popular airline credit cards that are available. Different cards grant a variety of Bonus Miles on the initial credit charged to the card. A Bronze airline credit card gives 5000 Bonus Miles on the first credit card charge and awards a mile for every $2 expended. 15000 Bonus Miles are offered on Platinum airline credit cards for the first credit card charge while1 mile is awarded for every $1 that is spent.

Airline Miles Credit Card Incentives

Airline miles credit cards also allow the usage of a points system where each mile traveled is counted as a point. Frequent flyers can gather mileage points after every flight. Once they touch a particular points figure, travelers get the incentive of taking free flights to different places of their choice. Hence airline miles credit cards allows the consumers to avail a facility where they can convert the rewarded points at the rate of one mile for every 1 or 2 dollar charged to the credit card. This allows frequent flyers to build up miles at a quicker pace, which in turn can be bartered for flights, lodging, or even for renting a car.

Many credit companies offer lucrative sign-up incentives to their airline credit card holders. Some of them include attractive sign-ups without charging any yearly fees. Other perks include a 5000 Miles bonus on every first purchase by the airline credit card, a 0% APR charge for the initial twelve months and on every $1 expense a reward of one mile. Transfer of balances is also allowed on the airline miles credit cards.

However, APR rates keep on varying and but are valid for any airline, any seat and also do not impose blackout dates. An airline miles credit card gives the liberty to plan a trip without any worry and provides excellent facilities if you have a good credit record. Every second airline credit card offers incentives that are subject to change and also allow association with other airline companies. Some airline miles credit card allow exchanges with selected airlines all over the world, with the major car rentals, and also with some selected hotels. A relatively high regular APR after the completion of the 0% APR period is a drawback. Nevertheless, with only a good credit rating required, this card may be easier to obtain as compared to competitor airline credit cards

These credit cards also find their efficient use in shopping malls, carwashes, and hotels. Airline miles credit cards can be set to a maximum value by the airline companies to limit the monthly expenditure of the cardholders. Clients can avail of any choice from the list available. Airline companies offer various limits which are cost-effective and rational. Airline credit cards can be accessed through the internet like the other credit cards. One can do away with the pains of traveling to the nearest airport for getting an air ticket. So an air ticket is just a mouse click away by using your airline credit card.

We offers a wide array of all international airlines, airlines india, international travel airline from india.

An Introduction of Indian Airlines Service

In 1953, a new dream took shape – to airlink the vast South Asian subcontinent by a single, modern, and efficient airline. The Airline was Indian Airlines. Today, Indian Airlines, together with its fully owned subsidiary Alliance Air, is one of the largest regional airline systems in Asia with a fleet of 62 aircrafts, 4 wide bodied Airbus A300s, 41 Fly-by-wire Airbus A320s, 11 Boeing 737s, 2 Dornier D-228 aircrafts and 4 ATR-42.Indian Airline’s has been setting the standards for civil aviation in India since its inception in 1953.

An Introduction ofAlliance Airlines Service

In 1987, Alliance Air (then, Alliance Airlines) began providing scheduled interline road feeder service to a handful of international airlines. Six years later, Alliance added airline cargo handling services and upped its client base to 20-some carriers. Today, Alliance provides road feeder and handling services in addition to personnel services to over 110 international airlines.Working with the world’s leading airlines for over 15 years, Alliance Air gears its services specifically to the needs of the international airlines it serves

An introduction of Jet Airways Service

Jet Airways – wasfounded in 1995 as a domestic airline for India. longer routes are served by a large fleet of modern Boeing 737s. 737 series 800s, 700s, 500s and 400s are used.Jet Airways operates over 250 flights daily to 40 destinations across the country. The rapid expansion of our route network has earned us the prestigious Air Transport World Award 2001 for Market Development. Jet Airways has also won the prestigious H&FS award for the domestic airline for the year 2001.

Click on HQ to watch this video in High Quality. My flight from Los Angeles International Airport to Osaka, Japan via Northwest Airlines. This video features: -Clips from LAX airport -Landing in Kansai Airport
Help answer the question about Travel Airline
Should I worry about my suitcase being too big for International airline travel?
I just bought a 29" Dockers rolling/spinning suitcase, and I like it a lot. However, it is large. It measures 20" wide x 29" tall x 11" thick, plus expands another 2" thick. The measurements total 60" if I don't use the expansion capability. Most airlines seem to have a 62" limit on size and 44 pounds – after which they will charge you.

I haven't traveled much (but I plan to from now on) and I'm going to China in October. I am worried that this suitcase is too big and I will get charged extra. Air China's limits are 62" and 44 pounds.

I thought about loading it up and weighing it (will do tomorrow), but I thought I'd ask people if they own a suitcase of this size and if they have or have not had problems with checking it in on various airlines.

I guess I could return it and buy the next smaller size, but my trip is for 12 days so I feel like I need a larger bag.

Any and all advice is appreciated!

This is possibly one of the most comprehensive and essential courses to enrol for when considering a career in travel. Airline training has not been around for long and equips students on every aspect and detail of their specific airline. Students can do this course to go on to work with that company, including travelling to various destinations and becoming proficient in the ticketing distribution system. A lot of this training will mean knowledge of customer interaction; however, this can be developed through work experience.

Many people considering working as an airline ticketing operator will need to be extremely knowledgeable about the selected airline, including how many passengers it can hold and the destinations it travels to. Furthermore, they will need to become an expert with using the booking software and know how to deal with unpredictable problems methodically. One-to-one interaction with clients and customers is a must; therefore, get as much experience in customer service.

Airline training consists of understanding the airline services, its history, the cost of the airfare, the different destinations travelled through, global services provided depending on the class and learning how to resolve on the spot issues effectively. The courses can be intense as they aim to make sure the student knows the ins and outs of that chosen company, but its helps them to gain employment into that airline therefore, the time spent on this course is worth it in the end.

The airline industry has risen, with more people becoming drawn to starting a career within this field and succeeding when working for their chosen flight company. Travel is a business which will never see failure as plenty of people like to travel and do travel on a daily basis. This is a good sector to fall in, as employees are able to travel without paying out too much money on costs and facilities as well gain other useful benefits.

As an air flight attendant full knowledge of the airline of which you will be employed with is necessary. However, you will be selected more for your confidence, good communication with customers and enthusiasm. You will also need to know how to approach problems and issues professionally as you will be judged on your ability handle complaints as swiftly as possible. The customers are always right; therefore you want to be able to maintain your patience and keep them satisfied by dealing with their problems as soon as possible.

As a travel agent you will need to have airline training as well as other training including software training, booking software training and communication training. This will all be necessary as you will be required to answer the customer’s questions, therefore, you will also need to be on top of any new information. The travel industry is constantly changing directions, so you may find that your training will be a regular thing.

As the name suggests, airline credit cards are credit cards associated with air travel. Airline credit cards are becoming popular as more and more people are opting for air travel. They can be used for a particular airline or for several airlines and is also an excellent means for saving on travel expenses. A variety of airline miles credit cards are available in the market. Understanding certain basic factors of airline credit cards can arm you to get a better deal.

Why Should I Opt for An Airline Credit Card?

The simple reason why people opt for an airline credit card is that it saves on travel expenses. Often times, it works best for a frequent traveler. The benefits offered vary from one type of credit card to another. The primary features of the card also varies with each airline miles credit card.

Apart from saving on travel expenses, there are several other benefits involved. Several types of insurance associated with travel are offered by most airline miles credit cards, including lost baggage insurance and car rental insurance. The coverage provided under travel accident insurance is far above what would be considered normal coverage. Occasional freebies are also offered by some airline credit cards.

How Does an Airline Credit Card Work?

Most airline miles credit cards follow a method of giving points for the dollars spent on the card. The way the points are counted differs from one card to another, but most of the airline miles credit cards follow a point system which is quite similar. To make use of the points, you need to have a minimum number, which varies with each card. When you have the desired amount of points, you can substitute the points with airline miles. Now, how the points are substituted again depends on the type of credit card you opt for.

Certain airline credit cards offer bonus points. Bonus points are offered when you make use of an airline credit card with other products, services and merchandise purchases.

How to Select an Airline Credit Card?

The key to selecting an airline miles credit card depends on the way you travel. If you are in the habit of traveling by a single airline, you can choose a credit card that does business with your favorite airline. Things are a bit tough if you are in the habit of frequently changing the airline you travel. Then you should choose a card that can match with your traveling habits.

Two important things to keep in mind while selecting an airline credit card are the annual fees and interest rates. You should make sure that the annual fee does not wash away all the other benefits you get from the credit card. It is a well known fact that airline credit cards carry a high interest rate. The APR can even be increased if you make even a single late payment with some airline credit cards. So make sure you keep up with your monthly payments.

The freebies and benefits offered by each airline credit card vary. You should take into account all the benefits offered by the different companies before selecting your credit card. Some of the benefits can be very handy while you are traveling.

The best place to search for an airline credit card is the Internet. Information regarding a huge selection of airline credit cards is available online where you can compare for the price and benefits offered by each company.

Have you had a bad experience travelling and want to know how to sue the airlines?

Air travelers who have been wronged may find that there’s nothing more intimidating than seeking legal action against an airline or how to sue an airline. From the smaller inconveniences of flight delays and lost luggage to the overwhelming tragedies of personal injury and loss of life, a traveler or family must pit themselves against a seemingly faceless conglomerate. By knowing how to initiate the legal process, many consumers have found a resolution when suing an airline.

A traveler may choose to sue an airline in small claims court when they have been wronged in such a manner that additional expense is incurred and the airline refuses reimbursement. Most states limit monetary awards in small claims court to between $3,000 and $7,500. A traveler may not sue in small claims court when an airline loses property or damages goods.

Factors to consider when filing: Prior to pursuing action in small claims court for suing an airline, one must determine the following:

Is the amount of the claim smaller than the state or local law monetary limit?

Does the airline do business in the court in which you are filing?

Does the airline have a contract of carriage which must be followed?

Has the airline been given the opportunity to follow any of its obligations?

Can the dispute be settled out of court?

Is it a hardship for you to appear in court?

How to file a claim: Once you have decided to sue an airline carrier in small claims court, you should contact the clerk’s office for court procedures including filing fees, jurisdictional issues and ceiling on amount of money that can be awarded. It is also important to find out whether or not there is a time limit on filing the particular claim.

When filing out any small claims paperwork, it is critical to be honest and accurate. Remember to find out the legal address and official or corporate name of the airline. Then, make sure the airline has an office or has flights that leave from the area. This will give the courts jurisdiction or legal power over the airline to call them into court. It is important to be aware that the court will not be responsible for actually collecting any money for you. It is entirely your responsibility. Collecting the money owed is the most difficult part of the process so one has to learn to be patient.

With regard to flight delays: Sound legal ground also exists to sue an airline, when a plane “pushes back from the blocks” or leaves the gate on time but sits on the runway for an hour or more because of known flight delays. Airlines, in an attempt to repair their image in the midst of rampant flight delays, often resort to this tactic so they can show an on-time departure. If passengers can prove that this was the case, then they can sue. However, this is “usually a tough one to prove.” With rampant delays, it will be easier for passengers who sit on the runway for extended periods of time to prove that the airline was more concerned with protecting its image.

For mishandled baggage: The main obstacle passengers encounter when seeking legal reparation or suing an airline for mishandled baggage claims is the large number of airline restrictions. The consumer must realize that the airlines have tariffs [or rules] that prohibit compensation for nearly everything when filing a claim. The tariffs differ for each airline but typically include items such as laptop computers, jewelry and electrical appliances. Tariffs are listed in the fine print on the back of each airline ticket and, as a result, many travelers are unaware of these exclusions. Travelers who have baggage claims arising out of international flights face an additional obstacle.

Luggage liability limits differ on international air travel due to the Warsaw Convention. Drafted in 1929, this treaty sets the limit at $9.77 per pound of baggage.

For domestic travel, airlines recently raised the luggage liability limit from $1,250 to $2,500 with their implementations of the Customers First plans. While it is very difficult to recover this amount, there are certain circumstances where tariffs would not apply. For example, e-tickets are an exception because consumers do not receive a paper ticket with the restrictions listed. If the airline loses your luggage without giving you the written restrictions, you could sue on the legal foundation of negligence.

This best selling book will teach you how to sue an airline, get legally compensated and show that you will not tolerate airline abuse. This 50 page comprehensive step by step book that will guide you in properly filing an airline complaint and receiving the compensation you deserve because of being mistreated by the rude, irresponsible, ignorant and careless behavior of airline staff.

Each of us looks out for a great deal on airlines, hotels, flights and many other services. Travel deals and vouchers are really an easy way to save money on tickets regardless of the fact that you are a frequent flyer.

Airlines, on a regular basis, offer travel vouchers for selected passengers that can shuffle off flights in a situation when the airline is overbooked. For those who know the system, this can be an easy way to do some good savings for little time or effort.

Discount Travel Vouchers are usually offered when a person doesn’t turn up for the scheduled flight and the seat is left empty and as an empty seat is a lost opportunity for revenue. As a result of this, airlines sell the available seats through travel vouchers for sale. One can surely employ fancy statisticians to figure out how many seats the airline needs to overbook just to make up for the no-shows as such situations lead to discount travel vouchers.

Generally speaking, none of us are an expert on earning these airline travel vouchers and hence, one should discuss such situations with family and friends to figure out a better way to get these travel vouchers for sale.

The most common way to get airlines travel vouchers is to give your seat to another passenger when an airline has overbooked a flight so that you can fly for half the cost.

There are several other ways to get discount travel vouchers. One can refer to the internet and several sites available for more knowledge and information.

Ideally, if you are certain to buy one of the travel vouchers for sale then one should avoid travelling on busy holidays or on a tight schedule while planning a trip. It is also advisable to book your tickets well in advance to get some advance booking discounts.

My journey to Hong Kong from Manila via Incheon on board Korean Air B777-300 and B747-400E. Yup, it’s a long route alright. More than 7 hours trip compared to a 2 hour direct flight from Manila. It’s on business class anyway; I didn’t mind. Some shots are a bit shaky. Took it with a Nokia N70. Features take offs and landings, Korean Air flight attendants, and the bibimbap!
Help answer the question about airline travel
What is the best airline travel?
Just wandering what was the best airline to travel in the United States.

Thanks
