Best Honeymoon Under $3000?
I’m getting married in July 2009 and looking to leave immediately on a mid-July honeymoon. My fiance and I are looking for a quiet, romantic beach honeymoon (neither of us drink or gamble so nightlife is a bit of a negative, though water sports would be great). We want to keep everything under $3000–airfare, room, side trips, food, souvenirs, and all-inclusive would be great. I really want a very nice (4+,5 star resort) with a honeymoon package like a candlelit dinner on the beach and flowers/towel arrangements, etc. We’ve thought about Jamaica and Riviera Maya in Mexico (really like El Dorado Seaside Suites by Karisma, but the price may be just a bit too steep). Anyone know of any great resorts or other suggestions?
Check out packages for some of the hotels in the Wailea area of Maui (sounds like what you guys want and it’s amazing there). Also check out St. Thomas and the caribbean side of Puerto Rico for resorts. I’ve been to all three and trying to do a week for $3,000 may be a bit tough, but you might find a good deal if you check around.
